Hours: 24 hours per week (equivalent to 3 days per week) Overtime may be required during our busy period between the months of May and September.
Rate of Pay: £27,500 pro-rata (£16,500 for 3 days per week)
Start Date: January 2025

We are one of the South-West’s leading event production companies, specialising in music festivals and events. We co-programme and produce a number of innovative, large-scale events (Love Saves The Day, Love International, Simple Things, Waterworks, FORWARDS and the Silver Hayes area of Glastonbury). We also run our own venue, an established cornerstone of Bristol nightlife, The Love Inn.
Social responsibility is central to our work, we aim to produce events which contribute to wider change in the local community and beyond and run a number of additional dedicated projects and initiatives centring around social and environmental impact and change.
About the Role
The Finance Assistant will play a key role in supporting the Finance Account Managers in day to day activities within the Finance Department.
We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper who has worked on Xero. Someone with a keen eye for detail, who has strong administrative skills, and is proficient in Excel.
Key responsibilities

Maintaining up-to-date, complete and accurate accounting records using Xero and Google Sheet/Excel.

Process PO’s in Xero and adding them to the budget

Process payments from the payment schedule once signed off by the Finance Manager

Reconcile the bank accounts in Xero on a weekly basis

Credit control. Manage warehouse rent payments and chase all unpaid invoices

Weekly check of accounting software against all budget spreadsheets

Maintaining hard copy records & filing

Dealing with finance-related enquiries from suppliers

Inbox management

Build understanding & contextual knowledge - sit in on budget head conversations.

Essential skills and experience:

Good knowledge and experience in using Xero

Proven Finance Admin experience and skills

Excellent IT skills specifically in Excel and Google Docs

This role is predominantly office based, at a desk, using a computer. There may be some work on site work at our events. A number of which take place on greenfield sites where we work from porta cabins.
