Job Title: Marketing Assistant: Social Media Coordinator & Content Creator

Place of work:  Team Love Office, St Werburghs, Bristol, BS2 9PG 

(with some days on site at events during the Summer months of May to September)

Hours: 32 hours per week (equivalent to 4 days per week) Overtime may be required during our busy period between the months of May and September.

Rate of Pay: £29,000 - £31,000 (dependent on experience) Pro-Rata

Start Date: No later than end of January 2025

We co-programme and produce a number of innovative, large-scale events (Love Saves The Day, Love International, Simple Things, Waterworks, FORWARDS and the Silver Hayes area of Glastonbury). We also run our own venue, an established cornerstone of Bristol nightlife, The Love Inn.

 

Social responsibility is central to our work, we aim to produce events which contribute to wider change in the local community and beyond and run a number of additional dedicated projects and initiatives centring around social and environmental impact and change.

 

About the Role

This role represents a chance to be a key part of some of Team Love’s events, with an opportunity to put your own creative stamp on an exciting array of projects,  develop your skills working with an experienced team and be part of a company that cares for the people who work there and the wider community.

 

This role will be at the heart of our digital presence, driving content creation, shooting, editing, and managing posts across the social media channels for Love Saves The Day and other Team Love festivals. You’ll play a vital role in shaping how our events connect with audiences online, keeping content fresh, engaging, and reflective of the quality of our festivals. 

 

We’re looking for someone who lives and breathes social media trends, with a strong creative vision and a sharp eye for detail. You’ll thrive on coming up with innovative ideas and translating them into content that excites and inspires. 

From formulating campaign strategies with the wider marketing team to jumping in with hands-on content creation, you’ll balance big-picture thinking with the organisational skills to make it all happen.


 

This role is perfect for someone who understands the power of social media in building communities, loves experimenting with new formats, and is ready to get stuck in. We’re looking for someone with a passion for festivals, events and music, who is skilled in creating scroll-stopping content.


 

Key Responsibilities

  • Social Strategy: Collaborate with the wider marketing team to develop and execute campaign strategies, from driving ticket sales to effectively communicating our social and environmental initiatives to audiences. Stay ahead of key social media and industry trends to ensure we remain innovative and relevant.

  • Content ideation and execution:  Take a leading role in coming up with ideas and creating content for our social platforms, using the following skills:

    • Shooting and editing social-first videos - to be posted mostly across TikTok and Instagram Reels. 

    • Curating media for posts 

    • Copywriting captions 

  • Content co-ordination: Maintain the social calendar and schedule for Love Saves The Day & other Team Love events, with a flexible and detail-oriented approach to ensure content is posted in keeping with the busy schedule.

  • Content analysis: Analyse content successes and failures, identify the changes which can be made for better performance in the future. 

  • Community building: Use community-building strategies across socials to build a community of fans & followers for Love Saves The Day and other Team Love events.

  • Community management: Monitor and respond to customer enquiries and messages via inboxes and comments. Flag trends to the wider team. 

  • Influencer & content creator liaison: Brief and commission work from our network of creator & influencer partners. 

  • Partner coordination: Working with our PR teams regarding media partners, influencers and campaign schedules. Coordinate with artist teams to gather and collaborate on content. 

  • Digital advertising: Some tasks using Meta & TikTok digital advertising platforms.

  • Basic graphic design work using existing brand-packs 

  • On-site: Attending Team Love events in a content creation capacity.

 

Person Specification

We’re looking for a creative and self-motivated individual with a passion for music, festivals and social media who is confident in managing multiple platforms and tasks in a fast-paced environment. 

 

  • Confident Communicator: You are comfortable engaging with the public and other creators behind and potentially in front of a camera, you thrive in busy environments. 

  • Team player: You enjoy working as part of a team, and are willing to muck in to get the job done.

  • Solutions-focused problem solver: You are able to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of the wider marketing team and other departments, proactive at 

  • Creative and innovative: You are up for experimenting, pushing boundaries and striving to deliver quality when it comes to your creative work. 

Essential skills and experience:

  • Experienced in running social media accounts across Meta & Tiktok.

  • Proficient in filming, editing & delivering creative social content. 

  • Strong copywriting skills and experience.

  • Keen enthusiasm and understanding of all things festivals, events and music.

Desirable additional skills and experience:

  • Experience in graphic design and branding.

  • Experience in basic website creation tools - squarespace, wordpress etc - and management of websites.

  • Experience with mailing platforms.

This role is predominantly desk and office based. There will also be some onsite work at our events, a number of which take place on greenfield sites where the Marketing team are based in a portacabin. There will be some work out capturing content on location or on site, which can involve a lot of walking & standing and requires someone to move around independently and extensively.
