Role: On Site Socials Runner - Placement at Love Saves The Day 

Contract Type: Freelance 

Employment Term: 3 days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) for Love Saves The Day Festival. 

24th, 25th and 26th May. 

 

Rate of pay: £12.00 per hour – 8 hours for site day rates. 

Place of Work: Love Saves The Day festival site. 

Hours: On site hours are TBC and will be agreed between you and the Marketing Manager ahead of your first shift.

*Please note that due to the nature of live events, timings may be subject to change 

 

On Site Dates:

Friday 24th May – Sunday 26th May: Love Saves the Day; Ashton Court, Bristol. (3 days working)

 

Interview Dates: Either 6th May (in the afternoon between 2-5pm) or the 7th May (in the morning between 9-12) 

Site Tour and Induction: 23rd May 2024 - time TBC. 

Start Date: Friday 24th May 2024

About Big Team CIC

Big Team actively works to diversify the people who create, contribute and attend festivals.

We support 18-30 year olds from groups that are currently under-represented to forge their paths in the industry and we work with industry partners to develop more inclusive festival environments.

About the Role 

Core Responsibilities Will Include

  • Carrying out tasks to support the marketing team, photography team and videography team. The types of tasks you may be asked to help with could be varied, but will include things such as:

 - Running equipment to support the media team across site

 - Collecting lunches for the team

 - Going to the main Production Office to collect items needed or pass on information

 - Supporting the team when required in the cabin or out on site 

 - Swapping radio batteries 

  • Responding to customer enquiries on social media and the Love Saves The Day customer emails

  • Recording basic content for social media alongside the team. If required, we can provide a phone device to record content, and can be discussed with the applicant. 

Skills Required

  • Flexible and willing to carry out tasks to support the team as required

  • Good Communication Skills

  • Interest in festivals, events & music! 

  • Experience with content creation/social media (either professionally or from personal accounts)

  • Experience dealing with customer enquiries 

Personal Characteristics: 

  • Friendly

  • Constructive 

  • Collaborative worker  

  • Enjoys being physically active

  • A genuine love of drum & bass music as this role will involve direct content capturing on our dnb stages 

Role Specific Information

The role will be based in or just outside of a portacabin onsite, or at one of the stages at Love Saves The Day, which takes place at Ashton Court, Bristol. The role will require independent movement around the site. There are some pathways and trackway, but the site is predominantly grassy and uneven. There will be some lifting and moving required. 

You will have full access to the festival after your shift time finishes, plus 1 weekend guest ticket, catering will be provided while on shift.

You will be required to complete a short online Manual Handling Training module. 

The successful applicant will need to visit the site for an induction session, prior to their start date and will receive a full safety briefing on site. The role will be reporting into and supported by the Marketing Manager. 

Other Information

On show days (Saturday 25th & Sunday 26th May) there will be festival organised buses running from Bristol city centre, to the festival site . This service will be free for crew, more details will be provided closer to the event. 

You may be required to assist with other duties across site if the need arises. 

A nondisclosure agreement must be signed to carry out this role.

Health and safety is paramount to your role, during your work you will be required to adhere to all related policies.

PPE may be needed, and this can be provided.

Onsite at events, there is a rota for guidance, and we aim for shifts of between 8 and 10 hours, however, due to the nature of live events, this is always subject to change and there may be occasions when crew need to stay on a bit longer to get a job done or on the other hand, get to leave a bit earlier if everything is finished for the day.
