This fixed term position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in sustainability within a festival setting. You will play a key role in preparing for and supporting the delivery of sustainability-related initiatives before, during, and after the festival. You’ll be reporting to the Sustainability Coordinator, and the role requires you to have a keen interest in the environment and the impact of live events. You will also have the opportunity to work alongside the Sustainability Coordinator at Love Saves the Day in May 2025, allowing you to meet other members of Team Love and experience working on site at an event before you fully begin the placement.

Onsite

  • Provide general support to the Sustainability Coordinator during festival days.

  • General runner tasks (such as, setting up equipment for the onsite office, printing duties, collecting lunch tokens or lunch).

  • Assist with on-site sustainability tasks, such as putting up sustainability signage, monitoring waste, conducting site checks, trader surveys, and audience engagement activities.

  • Work collaboratively with the Team Love production and marketing teams, the team of sustainability volunteers, and our sustainability partners.

Physical Description of the Role - This role is a mixture of office based, and on site work at our events, with desk work, and some physically active work, involving some moving and lifting, required in both settings. A number of our events take place on greenfield sites and the role requires someone to move around independently and extensively.
