On-site: Approx. 6 days per week for 2 weeks
(Extended working hours expected during the live event)
On Site Dates (2026):
15th June - 7th August In Bristol Office, 8 hours a day inclusive of a 30 minute break. 3 days per
week Mon, Tues & Thurs.
10th-17th August On Site. 6 days a week, 10 hours a day inclusive of a one hour break.
Rate of Pay:
Pre-event: £120 per day (8 weeks @ 3 days per week)
On-site: £150 per day (2 weeks @ 6 days per week)

About the Role
Boomtown is recruiting an Accessibility Assistant to support the Operations Department in delivering the festival’s accessibility commitments for customers, artists and crew.
Reporting to the Operations Coordinator, this is an entry-to-assistant-level role. Training and guidance will be provided, making this a great opportunity for someone interested in accessibility, inclusion and customer care within a festival environment.
The role includes a mix of pre-event administrative work and on-site, customer-facing responsibilities during the festival.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Event / Office-Based Responsibilities

Respond to accessibility enquiries and requests via email, ensuring communication is consistent, supportive and inclusive.

Process accessibility applications and coordinate accurate accreditation information for customers and crew.

Maintain clear and organised records of accessibility requests and applications.

Liaise closely with the Operations Coordinator to ensure all accessibility needs are processed ahead of the event.

Support the preparation of accessibility materials and information for gates, teams and customers.
On-Site Responsibilities

Operate the West Gate Accessibility Info Point, issuing wristbands and accessibility packs to ticket holders.

Act as a first point of contact for accessibility customers, responding to queries with patience and empathy.

Liaise with Event Control and the wider Operations team to resolve access-related issues quickly during the live event.

Provide on-the-ground support to accessibility customers and help uphold Boomtown’s access and inclusion standards.

Skills and Experience
Essential

Clear and confident written communication, particularly via email

Ability to communicate sensitively and inclusively, including with d/Deaf, disabled and neurodivergent people

Organised approach to managing admin tasks, records and accreditation information

Reliable, proactive and able to ask questions or escalate issues appropriately

Good general communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Previous experience in customer service, events or admin-based roles

Physical Description of Work
This role involves a mixture of office-based and on-site work. On-site duties require moving around a large greenfield festival site and engaging with customers and staff throughout the day. Reasonable adjustments will be considered where possible.
