Hours: Various - office days are 9am-5pm with one hour for lunch. Half days are 9am-1pm Office dates: TBC

12th-14th June (Download Festival)
14th-16th August (Boomtown)
29th August (FORWARDS festival)
Commercial shoots - dates TBC throughout the placement
Rate of Pay: £13.45 p/h (UK living wage)
Start Date: 1st April
Employment Type: Freelance with minimum agreed amount of days
Employment Term: Short term across summer 2026

About
Clockwise Film is a content production company based in Bristol, London and Brighton. We work on live events, sports, fashion and music, providing content for brands including L’Oréal, Boomtown Fair, Chelsea FC and Red Bull.
Clockwise Film is aiming to diversify the people who work in the video content industry. We want to support 18-30 year olds from groups that are currently under-represented to forge their paths in the sector and we are working with partners in live events to develop more inclusive environments in both video production and the festival industries.
We are collaborating with Trago Studio and The Mono Grande throughout the placement to facilitate the role.

About the Role
Clockwise is recruiting for someone to join our core team in Bristol, working across festival and commercial work in producing video content. This is a really exciting opportunity to work in creating content at live events and develop filming and editing skills. The role is designed for someone with a keen interest in social media video production, who has an understanding of main platforms for video (Instagram/Tik Tok) and has created their own content previously. The key dates for the role focus on live music events, so this would suit a candidate who has a passion for music. Formal training and experience isn’t necessary to apply.
You will be reporting to the Creative Director Daniel Higginson but as we are a small company, you will have communication with most of the team at some point during the placement.
Key Responsibilities
The successful applicant will be expected to do the following tasks but will be guided at all times/mentored by a member of the team
Office:
- Develop creative ideas as part of a team
- Plan for a shoot
- help prepare kit for shooting
- assist with edit decisions
Onsite:
- Use camera kit to film live performances
- help unpack and pack kit before and after use
- carry equipment to and from the shoot
- assist on shoot as a runner/production assistant/camera assistant and perform tasks as directed by the producer or production manager

Skills and Experience:
Essential (what you need to apply for the role)
- Good knowledge of social media
- Able to film video content on a phone
- Have used video editing apps on a phone
- Experience of using computers
- Organised and able to plan effectively
- Good attention to detail
- Flexible thinking and the ability to respond to changes as they arise
Desirable (would be useful for the role, but not necessary to be considered for it)
- Knowledge of film cameras (e.g Sony A7S or similar small handheld camera)
- Have used computer based editing software (e.g Adobe Premiere)
- Have been on a video shoot previously
- Have attended a festival and have a passion for live events
Role Specific Information:
Travel to and from Site - Transport and logistics will be discussed prior to the commencement of the placement and planning support will be provided, if required. The Bristol festival site is accessible by public transport and on event days, we run a free crew bus service.
Onsite Accommodation n/a for Bristol shows - you will not be required to stay on site overnight. For optional extra work at other shows that do require overnight stays, you would be expected to camp in the crew area with access to backstage toilets and showers. Camping Kit can be loaned for use if required.
Meals Onsite - Meals, snacks and soft drinks will be provided when onsite
Physical Description of Work - This role is a mixture of office based, and on site work at our events, with desk work, and some physically active work, involving some moving and lifting, required in both settings. A number of our shoots take place on greenfield sites and the role requires someone to move around independently and extensively.
