Role: Accreditation Assistant placement at Love Saves The Day Festival

Contract Type: Freelance 

Employment Term: 2 x days (Saturday 25th & Sunday 26th May) - 5 hours (9am - 2pm) on both days*

Rate of pay: £12.00 per hour 

Place of Work: Love Saves The Day festival site, Ashton Court, Bristol

Hours: *Please note that due to the nature of live events, timings may be subject to change 

 

Interview Dates: Either Monday 6th May (in the afternoon between 2-5pm) or Tuesday 7th May (in the morning between 9-12) 

Site Tour and Induction: Thursday 23rd May 2024 - time TBC. 

Start Date: Friday 24th May 2024

About the Role

We’re excited to offer a position to work in the Love Saves The Day Festival Accreditation Team.  You will be assisting the Accreditation Team to provide the correct passes to all crew onsite for Love Saves The Day 2024. Training will be provided on site. 

 

Core Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Supporting the accreditation team to ensure a smooth arrival process for all crew & contractors

  • Issuing wristbands & vehicle passes 

  • Helping crew with queries and directions when they arrive

  • Queue management

  • Other duties assisting the accreditation team as required

 

Skills and Experience:

  • Good communication skills  

  • Computer skills (Excel and Google Docs)

  • Good time management 

 

Personal Characteristics:

  • Organised and self-sufficient 

  • Able to remain calm under pressure and communicate positively

Role Specific Information: 

The role will be based in or just outside of a portacabin onsite, or at one of the stages at Love Saves The Day, which takes place at Ashton Court, Bristol. The role will require movement around the site. There are some pathways and trackway, but the site is predominantly grassy and uneven. There will be some lifting and moving required. 

You will have full access to the festival after your shift time finishes, plus 1 weekend guest ticket. Catering will be provided while on shift.

You will be required to complete a short online Manual Handling Training module. 

The successful applicant will need to visit the site for an induction session, prior to their start date and will receive a full safety briefing on site.

The role will be reporting into and supported by the Accreditation Manager. 

Other Information: 

On show days (Saturday 25th & Sunday 26th May) there will be festival organised buses running from Bristol city centre, to the festival site . This service will be free for crew, more details will be provided closer to the event. 

You may be required to assist with other duties across site if the need arises. 

A  nondisclosure agreement must be signed to carry out this role.

Health and safety is paramount to your role, during your work you will be required to adhere to all related policies.

PPE may be needed, and this can be provided.

Onsite at events, there is a rota for guidance, and we aim for shifts of between 8 and 10 hours, however, due to the nature of live events, this is always subject to change and there may be occasions when crew need to stay on a bit longer to get a job done or on the other hand, get to leave a bit earlier if everything is finished for the day.
